Hero Wouters Movie Collection
Hero’s movies can be divided into two periods: the years from 1971 - 1977, that brought forth shorts and try-outs in the 16 mm film-format, and current creative cinematic work from 2007 onward.
In 2009 and 2010 the Legacy Project worked its way through archives and slowly desintegrating cardboardboxes recovering the original 16 mm's, with the ultimate goal to digitalize them and make them available to the public. Instead of the expected 40 movies or so, we found 87 fragments, going from simple try-outs to completed movies with added-on music. At this moment 18 oldies are released via YouTube and other sites, together with 32 of his recent video’s.
